SCRIPTORIUM
Reinvigorating passion for literature
ABOUT
Scriptorium is a 501(c)(3) fiscally sponsored nonprofit organization aiming to make literary education accessible to all. Through our free and inexpensive resources, tutoring sessions, and summer programs, we aim to invigorate youth with a passion for literature. Literature is a form of art that brings a multitude of benefits to individuals; from education to entertainment, and is a joy that everyone deserves without being hindered by financial barriers. We work to make literary education and books available to all youth despite their socioeconomic status.
OUR MISSION
Scriptorium aims to make literary education accessible to all. Through our trained tutors, summer program educators, and content writers, our goal is to spread literary knowledge and make books accessible to all youth.
In order to mitigate the negative impacts of underfunding in schools and the deprivation of resources like books for youth, Scriptorium uses money raised through education programs and fundraisers to donate books to our local communities.
ABOUT QUIZ BOWL
Many of our staff are participants of Quiz Bowl, a national team-based competition on academic subjects like literature, science, and history. This has allowed our staff to hone their skill on studying and memorizing information, working and communicating effectively with peers, and has allowed them to discover their passion for specialized subjects like literature. We hope our passionate and hardworking staff will translate these skills to your student through our academic programs.
